Design spec for AI design tools
Writes or updates a versioned DESIGN.md that gives AI design tools like Google Stitch clear guidance on tokens, components, content, states and motion.
When to use it
- You generate screens with an AI design tool and want them on-brand.
- The design system should be written down in one place.
- Generated screens keep drifting from the real product.
A practical example
You ask
“Write a DESIGN.md so Stitch generates screens that match our app.”
Your agent does
It extracts tokens, components and rules from the product and writes a spec the tool can follow.
